TEAGAN WATTS – FOUNDER & CREATOR
I’m Teagan – Brisbane artist, teacher and lover of all things creative! As a strong believer in living life to your full potential, I am living my dream of creating for a living and sharing my passion with others. If I’m not in my studio, you’ll find me teaching workshops, connecting with other creatives or running around after my cheeky 4 year old son Quinn.
2020 was a year of major change for all of us, and it also propelled me to overcome fears and doubt holding me back. In May 2021 I opened Artist & Maker studio and I’m so excited to see it flourish!
In August 2020 I was featured on ‘The Today show’ (Channel 9) creating one of my ‘freestyle faces’ live on TV. I have also been featured on the ‘Power of Positivity’ Facebook page as a guest artist to their audience of 32 million and have 4 artworks featured in the brand new series ‘Dive Club’ soon to be released on Netflix!!
Since discovering Alcohol Inks in 2018, I have been obsessed and couldn’t wait to share. In 2020 alone I taught 43 face to face workshops, and recorded 3 online tutorials during lockdown. I regularly host Alcohol ink workshops and Mixed media classes, and receive rave reviews.
With my extensive teaching background (now over 15 years in the classroom) and my own ongoing Art practise, I am able to guide you on your own artistic journey. Incorporating my knowledge of colour theory, composition and painting techniques into every class I teach, means that you walk away with skills and knowledge to build on once you leave the workshop.
